Domestic Violence

This week was the second week for me attempting to start my story. I'm not sure if it is actually going to work but I plan to doing a multimedia project on a safe place women's shelter. I contacted them last week to find out if this project could work and this week I heard back from the director Marsie saying that I needed to send her a proposal of what I would like to do as far as the videoing piece. She said I can definitely come down to their center but I could not go to their shelter as all shelters in New Hampshire are in a private location where they have no address. I also learned that many of the abusers still try to locate the women. I have set up meetings with the staff and director for next week. They are un-sure if they can find anyone who is willing to be on camera to tell thier story so until then I'm pretty much on hold.

For my research I pretty much used their website. They had a ton of links on what deomestic abuse is but since I'm doing my project on their shelter that was the best place to gain information.
